Family Run & Proud Of It
Bodle Angling is a family run business, with three generations working across the company. We’re part of Bodle Bros Ltd, an established retail store and agricultural merchants in Burgess Hill, and our angling department has grown into a dedicated fishing tackle and angling equipment specialist in its own right.
Our shop stocks the biggest brands in the industry alongside the latest releases and the tried-and-tested classics. Downstairs you’ll find a full rod and reel section plus metres of bait, terminal tackle and accessories. Upstairs is dedicated to bedchairs, bivvies, nets, luggage and camping kit. Whatever you’re after, our specialist angling team is on hand to offer advice, so you’ll always leave with the right gear for the job.
You’ll find us at the Southdown Store, Cuckfield Road, Burgess Hill, RH15 8RE, in Mid Sussex, between Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill and just 5 minutes off the A23, with easy access from Brighton, Crawley and London. There’s ample parking on site, including space for larger vans, and the ground floor and car park are fully wheelchair accessible.
History
Where It Started
Bodle Angling launched in 2019 as a small fishing tackle and angling equipment counter inside Bodle Bros Ltd, starting with just a few metres of bait. Since then we’ve grown rapidly, and now stock over 50 fishing brands and close to 30,000 products in store.
In 2022 we took the business online, building bodleangling.co.uk so anglers across the UK could shop with us, not just those local to Burgess Hill. We’re still growing today, and proud to be one of the newer names making a mark in UK angling retail.

Our team fishes across the UK and abroad, targeting everything from carp and coarse to predator and sea species, so we can offer genuine local knowledge alongside expert advice on fishing tackle and angling equipment.
